Boulder clay outcrop

Summary

edit
Description
English: Boulder clay outcrop The pink-brown clay with its cargo of rounded pebbles and cobbles is slowly avalanching down onto the flat top of the limestone outcrop. Rain and wave action is transporting it away, making pink rivulets across the rock surface. The pink colour gives away the fact that this material was deposited by ice-sheets moving across the bed of what we now call the Irish Sea, but which was entirely dry at the height of the last ice-age.
