English: Built c. 1881, the Bellevue Hotel (544 Como Park Boulevard) is the sole remnant of the glory days of the hamlet of Bellevue, within Cheektowaga, New York. In the very early 20th century, day trippers who'd taken the trolley out to Bellevue Park (a small amusement park and picnic grove whose entrance was a short distance down the street) would end their outing with a hearty meal in the dining room or a drink at the bar, and rooms would be rented out to travellers on their way to and from Buffalo. Bellevue Park was closed around the beginning of the First World War, and the trolley line was decommissioned soon after, but the Bellevue Hotel continues on as a tavern and restaurant situated in one of the few pre-1900 buildings that remain standing in Cheektowaga.
