Nederlands: grafmonument Valkenstijn. Tombe van Augustinus Valkenstijn (†27-1-1882) en zijn vrouw Louise Aubry d'Arancey (†17-1-1871), op landgoed Valkenstijn in Assen; het is de enige particuliere begraafplaats die Assen heeft. Het grafmonument is omringd door een gietijzeren hek, in 1882 heeft de Asser IJzergieterij grafteken gemaakt. Boven op de afdekplaat staan een aantal karakteristieke doodssymbolen uit de negentiende eeuw. Tussen twee geknakte bomen zien we een 'Ouroboros', de staartbijtende slang, die een gevleugelde zandloper omvat. Daarboven kruislinks twee neerwaarts gerichte fakkels met daarop twee gekruiste beenderen met een doodshoofd ertussen.
