Description Corpus Christi, TX, September 11, 2008 -- Members of the Air Force and DMAT units carry a patient to a waiting plane for transport to a hospital in the Dallas, TX area. Special needs medical patients were transported out of the Corpus Christi area in advance of Hurricane Ike's landfall. FEMA is working with the State of Texas to provide adequate transportation assistance to residents who may need to evacuate from their homes.
