English: U.S. Navy Boatswain's Mate Seaman Latee Fortwell salutes the U.S. flag on the guided missile destroyer USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) in honor of those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Sept. 11, 2014. The destroyer was named after Lt. Michael P. Murphy, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for actions in Afghanistan. Terrorists hijacked four passenger aircraft Sept. 11, 2001. Two of the aircraft were deliberately crashed into the World Trade Center in New York; one was crashed into the Pentagon; the fourth crashed near Shanksville, Pa.
