English: St. James' Church in Ramsgrange was built in the period 1838–1843 after the design of St. Peter's College Chapel in Wexford by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin without his consent (according to a letter by J. J. McCarthy in 1856). The tower was added in 1870. (See Churches of the Diocese of Ferns, Booklink, 2004, p. 117, DIA record.)
