English: Hachi (1941-1943) was a leopard born in Yangxin County, Hubei, China. The leopard was protected, beloved and bred by the Japanese Army. However, he was later killed as a wartime beast by Tokyo governor's strict orders at Ueno Zoo.
日本語: ハチ(昭和16年-昭和18年)は、日中戦争下の中華民国湖北省陽新県に生まれたヒョウ。日本陸軍によって保護、飼育された後に恩賜上野動物園へと移ったが、東京都長官大達茂雄の厳命により戦時猛獣処分の対象とされて毒殺された。
