In a planter with drainage, cover the hole with tape, or a plug, to temporarily stop it from draining. You can also use a grow pot inside a non draining outer planter. 3. Fill the planter with potting medium 4. Saturate the medium with water + @happyhappyhouseplant Plant Food. You want it soupy! Like SO MUCH WATER 5. Gently submerge the rooted cutting in the soupy mix until it’s in position 6. Remove tape/plug/or lift grow pot to drain all excess water 7. Top off the soil (removing the water lowers the soil level significantly!) 8. Water in the new soil as usual (fully saturating and draining the excess) 9. Put it in a sunny window and keep the soil moist for a few weeks while the roots acclimate to their new environment. 10. Expect a little bit of shock to the plant until those roots are established. And, don’t be surprised if it’s a few months before you see any new leaves form.
