Extant research lack focus on the factors that impact the organizational adoption of this technology. Organizations need to assimilate it in a full-scale and deep level to fully realize its benefits and therefore worthy of study. Present paper, drawing upon Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, proposes and investigates the determinants that influence BDA adoption in context of the firms from two big emerging economies of Asia –China and India. Data collected from 106 organizations is tested and the results and implications contribute to understanding of the determinants affecting BDA adoption.

With the global epidemic spreading, businesses are gearing up with the managers and their respective teams to work from home (WFH). This research has offered a setting for advancing understanding of virtualization of WFH process by exploring the factors that enable or constrain the information and communication technology (ICT) enabled virtualization of processes in employee’s WFH process through empirical support for the process virtualization theory (PVT). Setting pandemic outbreak as a context, outcome of this research is reliant on two independent studies conducted to examine the influencing factors. First study conducted just before the onset of pandemic outbreak, found that parts of the constructs proposed in the PVT had expected outcomes regarding the characteristics of process virtualization. Contrary...

Since recent IS research lack focus about this technology and the determinants that impact its organizational adoption, present study has developed and validated a research model to examine the contextual factors that influence BDA adoption drawing upon diffusion of innovation (DoI) theory, institutional theory, and Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. Data collected from 71 organizations is tested and the results and implications contribute to understanding of the determinants affecting BDA adoption.

Long range wireless for data and voice connectivity is being considered as viable and affordable solution for rural India since few years now. This paper highlights how can WiMAX technologies be harnessed with solar powered, fully-loaded informational cyber-kiosks in rural areas with extended economic opportunity, improved nutrition and healthcare, healthy environments, education, and other components of a rewarding and sustainable livelihood of poor. Reviews the existing infrastructure and information dissemination activities using ICT. Proposes a feasible architecture for implementation of solar cyber-kiosks in rural villages using latest n-computing technologies on WiMAX platform. Discuses the behavioral impact of solar powered kiosk model on rural lives. Advocates the development and use of tailor-made e-repository for the deprived society. Says that the proposed model will be a gateway to rural p...
