Lauren | DIY | Furniture Restoration on Instagram: "⬇️Steps to de-oranging your furniture! 1. Clean with a good degreaser 2. Scuff sand with 220. You’re just giving the stain something to grab. 3. Stain! Use a gel stain (I used Dark Walnut by @varathane ). Work in sections and wipe away the excess thoroughly to avoid streaks and smudges. 4. Seal. I used water based polycrylic in Satin, after waiting a full 24 hours for the oil based stain to cure. 5. Reassemble! This may sound involved, but it’s a lot easier than stripping or sanding it entirely! #diy #vintagestyle #furnitureflip #darkacademia #cottagecore #antique #vintage"

Hepzabeth Evans on Instagram: "The fabric choices I made when I was 19, well it’s time to rectify that poor decision 🙌 Good bye blue macro suede and black glittery fabric! Time for something more in keeping with the arts and crafts chair. Thank you for those following me that helped choose the trim colourway 🧡 the most popular colour was indeed orange. This chair I think will be with me forever, it’s one of the first pieces I ever worked on - I think I may have actually used the chair in my upholstery training. Not sure the AMUSF would have approved of the glittery fabric at all 🤣😳 Full tool list of Upholstery Essentials provided when you subscribe to my exclusive channel - link in profile ✂️🔨 #upholstery #furntureflip #artsandcrafts #furnituremakeover #diy #homedecordiy #diycraft
Erin Shuford • DIY Furniture Flips • MCM Refinishing on Instagram: "Too bad it wasn’t filled with cash 😅 Have you ever found something hidden in a secondhand item? I would have never known that this drawer even existed if I didn’t go searching for the original before listing it. Look up your furniture, you may have one too! Comment “LINK” for a list of everything I used on this flip! *affiliate links*"
molly harris | diy furniture flips on Instagram: "Four months ago, this was my FIRST dresser that I successfully flipped and sold. I bought it for $50 and sold it for $550 within hours of it being listed. Thats when I knew I was hooked 🙌🏻 Since selling my first piece, I have brought in an extra $7,500 from flipping furniture alone. Working on it when I can, while being home with my kids. This number doesn’t include the income I make from content creation, brand deals and affiliate links. Don’t let starting from ground zero stop you from starting at all. Flipping furniture has helped my family so much and I’m so glad I started! Comment ‘STEPS’ and I will send you the step-by-step process with materials I used for this exact flip!"
Christina Mimm | Furniture Flips | DIY on Instagram: "Comment “Repair” for these products sent to your DM’s! Save this for later! Repairing veneer isn’t as difficult as long as you have the right products. Mohawk epoxy, blending sticks, and toner are my favorite for veneer repair. **If you work inside make sure you have a well ventilated area and wear a respirator. Prep your area by covering walls and carpet in case you have overspray (I didn’t this time because I am painting and replacing the flooring). Movers** 😆 #veneerrepair #midmodrestoration"

Erin Shuford • DIY Furniture Flips • MCM Refinishing on Instagram: "Comment the word “LINK” for a list of all of the products I used here! I couldn’t believe I won both of these bachelor’s chests at an auction for only $27. 🤯 After giving them a complete overhaul, they ended up selling within a couple of days for $1,100. Do you think it was worth it?"
