We like to offer some kind of wake-up snack.

We found that my toddler was very emotional in the morning, so we started offering a snack between waking up and breakfast, and it turned our entire morning around.

The key is to give them a snack with a little bit of protein, fats and carbs.

This can help keep their blood sugar steady until breakfast.

This is an easy way for your toddler to have a nourishing snack that they love and is easy for you to make.

No Bake Energy Ball Recipes:

Chocolate Brownie:

Ingredients:
-1 cup rolled oats
-1/3 cup cocoa powder
-1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
-1/4 cup nut butter
-1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-2 tbsp hemp or flax seeds (optional)

But boy, was I mind blown when I tried it and it actually tasted so good! I have a slight obsession with banana bread but never really gave myself the freedom to eat them freely because of how sugar and fat loaded they usually are. But after trying this, I’m pretty sure I won’t have to wait months before eating another banana bread 🤭

Ingredients:
- 2 large overripe bananas mashed
- 1 cup 100% peanut butter (no added oil or sugar/salt)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (omit for babies <12 months old)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- optional chocolate chips

Bake @180C for 50mins (or until centre comes out clean when poked with a stick)
