#DoodlewashJanuary2025 prompt: Fedora. January 15 is National Hat Day. Did you know the fedora (named after the play Fédora) was worn by women suffragettes as a symbol of female empowerment in the late 1800s? It became popular as a men’s hat after Prince Edward of Britain began wearing one in 1920. This lady isn’t as angry looking as annoyed as some of my other cats this month but I figure if a cat decided to fight for female empowerment, she’d be serious about it, lol. I did this on a day that was really gloomy, and was a bit shocked when I looked at it in better light - poor puppy is far more green than the blonde I intended.
