Robert the Bruce (1274 - 1329) Crowned King of Scotland in 1306, he defeated the english king Edward II at Bannockburn in 1314. He is supposed to have been encouraged towards perseverance and eventual victory by watching a spider build a web in the cave in which he was hiding 21st GGrandfather
Alice Princess Andrew of Greece
Princess Victoria Alice (Alice) of Battenberg (1885-1969) became a religious mystic. She was placed in a mental institution by her husband, Prince Andrew of Greece, in 1930. After three years she gained her release but understandably did not return to Prince Andrew. She lived in Athens during WWII working with the poor. Alice later established an order of Greek Orthodox nursing nuns. She was deaf and read lips in 3 languages.
