Jane Monteith ♔ Resin Mixed Media Art on Instagram: "🔉Sound on - KEY steps for prepping canvas to use resin on the front. I always use wood panel because they’re a rigid, which makes them great for applying resin. But that’s not to say you can’t use canvas. You just need to take a few extra steps to prep it so it’s solid enough to accept resin. Inexpensive canvas frames are usually flimsy. As an option, you can first try tightening or stiffening the fibres with GAC400 before adding your resin to the back. (Allow to dry first) The most important part is to pour in enough resin so that it touches the wood part of the canvas frame. This will ensure it bonds to the wood and cures sturdy. #resin #resintips #resinoncanvas #arttips #artresin #epoxyresin #mixedmediaart #artprep"
