<nowiki>
If you wanna show a link to a user, please use the link template <nowiki>
before the link and </nowiki>
after the link. For example, if you wanna show Ash to someone, then you've to use <nowiki>{{Ash))</nowiki>.-- ✔Poké.geek™✔ 13:42, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- I can't see what you're referring to. If you mean the advice on your talk with the [[User:<Name>|<Name>]], I was just in a bit of a hurry. Also, using the
{{template}}
template seems to be common sense, as the coding and/or other things (e.g. the talk page) provide help in understanding and finding what parameters are needed for a template.--Chalkwriter 15:04, 20 December 2011 (UTC)- Sorry, but I'm not good at explaining things! -- ✔Poké.geek™✔ 17:50, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- That's fine :D, but I'm still not sure what you were talking about in the first place (by that I mean what part did you think I do wrong; the template links or what)?- unsigned comment from Chalkwriter (talk • contribs)

Mystery Dungeon moves template
Put the picture in the "In other generations" section, like with Stadium 2, and incorporate the descriptions into the main moves template. Having two similar templates side by side seems intrusive on the content--SandmanDP 21:03, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- That template has been approved by multiple editorial board members. If it acts like an infobox, may as well make it an infobox. The pages are long enough for it. Basically, the effects section can't explain that well without it becoming clumsy and just listing it - the stats are completely different to the main series games. Werdnae (talk) 22:19, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Then can it at least go under the main series template? The picture should be in the in other generations template--SandmanDP 22:34, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
- If someone can tell me how to put it under the main template, I will be more than happy to.
- About the image, it seems to me that it is the prime indication of what the template is for, as there is no other description of what it actually is. Having said that, we could put the images from Red rescue/Blue rescue in the other generations template.
- Are there any views on this?--Chalkwriter 18:16, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

Your recent revert
Hi,
What is meant by incorrect transparency, and the absence of a pause between the first and last frames? I think I'm missing something here, so I'd appreciate your enlightenment. Thanks! Haxorus 16:34, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- About the incorrect transparency, I get the feeling you are using No$GBA, which leaves black patches lying around the animation. If you look at the image again, you might notice little black patches around the orbs of electricity, and the actual lightning doesn't appear to fade out properly. Desmume, on the other hand, does not leave those little black patches, and so I would suggest switching to that.
- About the pausing, if you look at, say, this image, there feel like there is a small break between the start of the animation and the end of the animation. Having no break gives it a slightly rushed feel, which we don't want. Just give a delay of about a second, and that should make a lot of difference.
- I don't capture a lot of move animations, but I know the basics, so if you have any other problems, just tell me.--Chalkwriter 16:52, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- Well, thanks for the absolutely illuminating explanation. I've switched over to DeSmuME for the purposes of APNG move creations. I owe you a debt of thanks :-) Regarding the "pause", I would think one full second at the end (essentially enough of the last frame copied over again to amount to one second) should do, and especially after seeing this image. Thanks. I'll have a new APNG of Thunder prepared, and let you see take a look to see if I've "got it".
- P.S. If you can, could you recommend somewhere for me to upload the APNG other than Bulbagarden Archives for the time being? I don't want my APNG being wrong anyway and, for lack of a more delicate term, stuffing up the image history like it did a few hours ago. Haxorus 17:52, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- All right, the new APNG is up, with transparency emulated through DeSmuME and with a pause between the start and end. I hope it's all good to go! Haxorus 03:06, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- That looks considerably better, in my opinion. All good form here.
- I find I don't actually need another site to test my images in. I find that if I open a new tab in Firefox, bring up the folder that contains the animation, and drag the file onto Firefox, it gives me a preview of the animation at the speed it will be viewed (although, if you want to, a site like Imageshack would be a good place to go.--Chalkwriter 11:25, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
