The PokéPark Premium Files (Japanese: ポケパークプレミアムファイル) are a special pair of promotional file folders released on March 18, 2005 in commemoration of the opening of the PokéPark theme park. Each file folder contains 9 exclusive cards depicting 18 different Pokémon featured throughout the park's various attractions.

Information

The two Japanese PokéPark Premium Files are a pair of exclusive releases for 18 cards available upon the opening of the PokéPark theme park in Nagoya, Japan. The cards are split into two even premium files of 9 cards each, named PokéPark Forest and PokéPark Blue after the forest and mountain scenery depicted throughout the cards' illustrations. Each group of 9 cards form a combined illustration featuring a scene depicting the 9 represented Pokémon in action, with the forest scene illustrated by Kanako Eo and the mountain scene illustrated by Kouki Saitou. These illustrations were used as the featured artwork for the back of each file folder as well as a promotional sticker included within each package. The artwork for the Blue Premium File was later used on the sides of the English EX Collector's Window Tins released in November 2005. The front of each folder features the collections' logos and names, as well as windows to view each of the nine cards, and translucent outlines of each cards' type. Each file was sold separately, and it is rumored that only 1000 of each were made available.

Each of the Pokémon cards in the PokéPark Forest Premium File are Owner's Pokémon in name and belong to the PokéPark itself. Due to this fact, none of these 9 cards were released internationally and remain Japan exclusive. The 9 cards in the PokéPark Blue Premium File, however, were printed as regular Pokémon and were all later included in the English releases of EX Emerald, EX Unseen Forces, and POP Series 2. Thirteen of the eighteen cards were also released with new artwork as Japanese PCG-P Promotional cards and were individually distributed to guests of each related attraction at the PokéPark itself. Each promotional print took its artwork from promotional combined illustrations created for the PokéPark itself, and consequently do not list card illustrators on the individual cards. In the place of each illustrator credit are the logos for the related attraction. None of these 13 cards were released outside of Japan.
