Dark Wasteland (Japanese: くらがりのこうや Dark Wasteland) is a dungeon that can only be played in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky's Special Episode In the Future of Darkness. This dungeon is the second dungeon in the Special Episode wherein Grovyle is accompanied by Dusknoir, who finds out that the Sableye have betrayed him.
Although internally the dungeon has 16 floors, 12 of them are not properly assigned, making this dungeon only 4 floors long. As such, this is the shortest dungeon in Explorers of Sky, with the only lower amount of floors being assigned to sections of Aegis Cave and Sky Peak Mountain Path.
Gameplay
As this is a Special Episode dungeon, the player cannot recruit Pokémon inside and cannot be rescued if knocked out.
Floors 1 through 3 are large-sized with 3-8, 3-9 and 3-10 rooms, respectively, while floor 4 is medium-sized with 3-9 rooms.
There's 3-6 items on each floor and 2-5 items buried in the walls. There's 2-3 starting enemies on each floor.
The IQ Booster does not activate in this dungeon. The turn limit is 1000. There is water on floor 3. There is light darkness in the dungeon. The enemies in this dungeon have 26IQ.
The following data is never accessed due to dungeon ending early:
