Release information
Cheren was first included in the English Emerging Powers expansion, originating from the White Collection in Japan. This card was reprinted as one of the BW-P Promotional cards in a ten card random pack released during the February 2011 Gym Challenge. It was later reprinted in each of the Japanese Battle Strength Decks and in the Battle Theme Deck: Victini. It was later reprinted with new artwork by Kanako Eo in the Reshiram-EX and Zekrom-EX Battle Strength Decks. This print was released in the English Dark Explorers expansion. In Japan, the original print was later included again in the Battle Gift Set: Thundurus vs Tornadus, the Hydreigon and Garchomp Half Decks, the National Beginning Set, the Master Deck Build Box EX, the Black Kyurem-EX and White Kyurem-EX Battle Strength Decks, the Blastoise + Kyurem-EX Combo Deck, and the Mewtwo vs Genesect Deck Kit. It was later reprinted as a Full Art card with artwork by Megumi Mizutani in the English Boundaries Crossed expansion, originating from the Japanese Freeze Bolt expansion.

Origin
Cheren is a rival character in Pokémon Black and White and a Gym Leader in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. The Skyarrow Bridge and Pinwheel Forest are featured in the illustrations of the Emerging Powers and Dark Explorers prints.
