While Calem himself does not appear directly, a palette swap color scheme based on Calem's design, with a darker-skinned appearance, appears for the male Pokémon Trainer, who is an incarnation of Red. Pikachu keeps the outfit based on Calem from 3DS and Wii U.
Calem appeared in The Redemption, where he was seen at the parade in Lumiose City after he had become the Champion of Kalos. During the parade, he was challenged by AZ, whom he battled and defeated.
Chesnaught was first seen next to Calem during the parade. It was later used during Calem's battle with AZ, where it was seen defeating his Golurk, winning the battle for Calem.
Calem's counterpart in Pokémon Adventures is X. When he was young, he won a Kalos Junior Tournament. However, the pressure of being a celebrity at a young age had its effect on him and he became a shut-in. He posseses a Mega Ring gifted to him by Gurkinn, which enables him to wield Mega Evolution and makes him a major target for Team Flare.
