Talha Bin Emran, PhD
Dr. Emran is a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Warren Alpert Medical School, and Legorreta Cancer Center. He has over six (06) years of experience in applied immunology, cancer biology, malaria, and genomics, with a PhD from Kanazawa University and a Masters from the University of Chittagong.
His current research project focuses on uncovering the molecular mechanisms of DNA repair and cancer in human cells, using cutting-edge tools and methods such as genetic engineering, next-generation sequencing, and bioinformatics. He investigates the effects of 50 genes involved in DNA repair, apoptosis, and stress signaling on cellular survival and sensitivity to genotoxins and chemotherapy. His goal is to advance the understanding and treatment of cancer and infectious diseases, and to contribute to the scientific community through his publications and collaborations.
