Mocktail: Winter Cranberry Ranch Water

Here's a simple spin on a classic ranch water cocktail that spruces up easily for a fun winter mocktail edition. It's essentially taking the classic ranch water and adding a splash of cranberry juice with some festive winter garnishes and substituting your favorite NA tequila. Easy enough! We've already made this several times and believe it will be a go-to on our winter rotation of mocktails. My blog has the classic cranberry ranch water recipe.

Cocktail Smoker and Wood Chip Kit

We love a good Manhattan — and adding a little smoke to our favorite drink was the perfect way to give a classic cocktail a new twist. This cocktail smoker is so easy to use too. You just add a few wood chips to the smoker (the kit comes with a few different flavors to try), let them burn for a few seconds to create the smoke, and then watch the smoke drop into your drink so you’ll know when you’ve got the amount you’re looking for. Works best with a butane kitchen torch! We got this as a gift, and it would make a great gift for dad, the person who’s hard to shop for, or anyone who loves to make a nice craft cocktail at home.

This week we did a Christmas round robin with several friends that live close by in our neighborhood. We each had a festive holiday cocktail for people to enjoy, along with a few apps. When we finished up our drinks and snacks, we bundled up and walked to the next house. YES it was a cold walk, but we put on some holiday tunes and it was lovely. We made this Holiday Ranch Water and it was a hit and we will definitely be making it again.
