Our Low Budget Lake Wedding

Here are some pictures of our wedding :) We chose a civil ceremony and offered lunch for our family and a vegetarian buffet dinner with drinks for our friends. My favorite part was the pedal boats :) Our wedding cost about 2.000 euros in total, including our clothes, invitations, wedding favors and reservations. We are very pleased with it, and so were our guests :) If you need vendor names, feel free to contact me!

I asked my wedding party to wear yellow and gray. Did they listen? Not exactly? Do they still look fabulous? Of course they do!

My friends helped me assemble the wedding favors. We ordered burlap bags stamped with our initials on Etsy. Then a friend of a friend drew clothes pins, so that they looked like kissing couples. And we added a variety of hard candy along with the pin buttons as a filling.

Having short, super-straight hair, there was little I could do with it. So I made a flower crown with flowers and wire I purchased via Etsy. When we arrived at the reception venue, a red carpet and champagne were waiting for us :) KNUS in Delft did a great job!

Instead of vows, we decided to make a booklet including poems and texts of our favorite authors and songwriters, that express how we feel about each other and love in general. We wrote a few words of our own on the first page. I made the booklet using InDesign.

Family Heritage

My pendant is family heritage and it goes from one generation to the next. It is only worn on weddings, by the bride. I guess this is why we managed to preserve it for so long.
