mtDNA has been done for various... more Identification of sequence polymorphism on the D-loop region of
mtDNA has been done for various purposes, including health and
medical treatment. In this research, single nucleotide
polymorphisms were identified in the D-loop region of mtDNA of the
Sundanese population in western Java. A total of 118 unrelated and
healthy Sundanese probands were collected from closed-traditional
kampung adat and open communities distributed in 14 cities and
regencies in western Java. DNA amplification and direct sequencing
of the D-loop region was proceeded using primers L15990 and H409.
Multi-alignment was conducted not only intrapopulation but also
with D-loop sequence data stored in GenBank for comparison. In this
research, we categorized high frequency SNPs as less effective for
identification in population studies because of their present in other
population outside Indonesia. Meanwhile, lower-frequency SNPs
showed typical variants of Sundanese haplotypes. On the other
hand, rare or low-frequency SNPs should be re-examined in larger
size of samples to have better understanding about risk factor for
many diseases.

A re-survey in the Sibohe Forest, Singkawang, West Kalimantan was conducted to confirm reports of the existence of 15 rare fruit plant species collected in 2017-2018 by previous researchers. The inventory process started from collection of specimens carried out during June-July 2021, herbarium making, identification and descriptive data analysis. Based on the similarity of regional names, 13 out of 15 species were confirmed according to the previous reports, while 2 species were not found due to the possibility of out of fruiting season. However, 4 of the 13 confirmed species were identified with different scientific names. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku saku dengan diperkaya informasi tentang mortali... more Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku saku dengan diperkaya informasi tentang mortalitas larva Aedes aegypti sebagai media pembelajaran pada Materi Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan 3 tahap pertama dalam model 4D yaitu define (penetapan), design (perancangan), dan develop (pengembangan). Media buku saku divalidasi oleh 5 orang validator dilihat dari aspek format, isi dan bahasa yang secara keseluruhan mencakup 16 kriteria. Hasil validasi didapatkan nilai CVR dan CVI 0,99 yang memenuhi kriteria minimal untuk content validity. Dengan demikian, media buku saku yang diperkaya mortalitas larva Aedes aegypti layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan.

The instrument was validated by two validators who were lecturers in Study Program of Biology Education of Tanjungpura University (Untan). The flipbook medium was validated by five validators consisting of two lecturers from Study Program of Biology Education and three biology teachers from three different high schools in Pontianak City. The objective of this research is to know the composition, diversity of elasmobranchii species. We have collected 24 species of rays and 7 species of sharks. Total number of sample are 238 individual which are caught from four times catching. Diversity index of elasmobranchii was between 1,77-3,75. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab miskonsepsi siswa kelas XII IPA SMA ... more Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab miskonsepsi siswa kelas XII IPA SMA Don Bosco Sanggau pada materi evolusi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 38 siswa. Sepuluh soal pilihan ganda berbentuk three tier diberikan untuk mengetahui distribusi konsepsi siswa. Konsepsi siswa dibagi menjadi empat kategori, yaitu memahami konsep, Lack of knowledge , error , dan Miskonsepsi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase konsepsi siswa untuk setiap kategori adalah memahami konsep (55%), lack of knowledge (10%), error (1,8%), dan Miskonsepsi (33,5%). Setelah diketahui miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa, peneliti melakukan wawancara untuk mengetahui penyebab miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa. This study analyzes macrozoobenthos diversity and functional feeding group in Berembang River, Ku... more This study analyzes macrozoobenthos diversity and functional feeding group in Berembang River, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. The obtained macrozoobenthos were identified to the genus level, and their functional feeding group was determined through a literature study. Data on diversity, evenness, and dominance were analyzed descriptively. Diversity (H') and Evenness (E) of macrozoobenthos in Berembang River were low (H'=0.73 and E=0.15) while Dominance (C) was high (C=0.81) as evidenced by a large number of genera Corbicula and Gammarus. Macrozoobenthos functional feeding groups found at both stations can be divided into six categories, namely shredders, gathering collectors, deposit feeders, sub-surface deposit feeders, filtering collectors, and scrapers.

Mutasi merupakan salah satu topik dalam genetika yang masih ditemukan miskonsepsi. Kesalahan memahami konsep dalam genetika dapat mengarah pada kesalahan pemahaman konsep pada pembelajaran tingkat berikutnya misalnya pada materi evolusi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk survei. Seratus orang siswa SMA kelas XII IPA di Kota Pontianak yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini diambil secara acak ( random sampling ). Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pemikiran siswa yang keliru didominasi oleh pemikiran intuitif, alasan yang tidak lengkap dan prakonsepsi. The research objective was to obtain data on the structure of the phytoplankton community and the water quality conditions of Sinau Lake so that it could be used as preliminary data for management and utilization. Samples were taken using purposive sampling method. Water quality is still good with a high plankton diversity index, low dominance and high evenness. Water quality still support the life of aquatic biota or aquaculture.

Proses pembelajaran biologi seringkali memerlukan lembar kegiatan peserta didik (LKPD) sebagai pe... more Proses pembelajaran biologi seringkali memerlukan lembar kegiatan peserta didik (LKPD) sebagai penunjang bahan ajar, namun yang digunakan di beberapa sekolah di Kota Pontianak belum optimal untuk mengarahkan siswa sesuai dengan kompetensi dasar yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan LKPD sebagai bahan ajar pada Submateri Pencemaran Air yang dikembangkan dari kegiatan pengamatan kualitas air secara sederhana dan bisa diakomodasi guru. Penelitian pengembangan ini mencakup tahapan penjabaran potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, dan validasi desain. Potensi dan masalah dianalisis dari hasil pengamatan di tiga SMP/MTs yaitu MTsN 1 Pontianak, SMPN 22 Pontianak, dan SMP Kemala Bayangkari Kubu Raya. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar LKPD yang digunakan hanya berisi pertanyan yang menggambarkan isi materi saja. Pada tahap pengumpulan data dan desain produk, dilakukan pengembangan LKPD untuk menjawab permasalahan yang ditemukan di ketiga sekolah yaitu dengan mencantumkan kegiatan pengamatan kualitas fisika-kimia air sederhana dari bak pemeliharaan ikan dengan 3 perlakuan pemberian pakan selama 5 hari. Berikutnya, produk LKPD divalidasi berdasarkan kesesuaiannya terhadap tiga belas kriteria penilaian dalam empat aspek yaitu isi, bahasa, sajian, dan kegrafisan. Hasil validasi LKPD memperoleh nilai CVR dan CVI masingmasing sebesar 1 yang memenuhi nilai minimum untuk 5 orang validator. Hal ini menandakan bahwa LKPD berbasis pengamatan layak secara isi untuk diuji coba dalam pembelajaran Submateri Pencemaran Air kelas VII SMP.

Tahap define observasi & wawancara guru biologi, tinjauan kurikulum & kebutuhan siswa, perumusan tujuan pembelajaran. Tahap design pembuatan storyboard komponen-komponen dalam metode ilmiah & hal-hal pendukung. Tahap develop menjadi produk utuh. Uji validitas konten media & materi nilai CVR & CVI menunjukkan produk hasil pengembangan majalah elektronik memenuhi nilai minimum kevalidan 0,99 dinyatakan layak diuji coba baik secara terbatas & luas. Majalah elektronik mengatasi kendala guru dalam penerapan konsep metode ilmiah memecahkan masalah biologi di lingkungan sekitar & meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik melalui pendekatan naratif diambil dari kegiatan penelitian ilmiah nyata.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan dan mengetahui kelayakan media flipbook untuk membantu proses belajar mengajar Submateri Bagian-bagian Darah dan Pembekuan Darah. Metode penelitian menggunakan tiga dari empat tahap dalam model 4D (define, design, develop, dessiminate). Validasi media dilakukan oleh 5 orang validator yang terdiri dari aspek format, isi, dan bahasa dengan 11 kriteria. Hasil analisis uji kelayakan flipbook diperoleh nilai CVR dan CVI sebesar 0,99 atau sesuai dengan nilai minimum untuk content validity Lawshe. Produk flipbook yang diperkaya informasi proses penyembuhan luka sayat dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Submateri Bagian-bagian Darah dan Pembekuan Darah kelas XI SMA. Untuk melihat kebermaknaan topik pengayaan yang ditambahkan perlu dilakukan pengujian secara langsung dalam proses pembelajaran.
The study of Austronesian languages classified the Sundanese language within the Malay-Sumbawa gr... more The study of Austronesian languages classified the Sundanese language within the Malay-Sumbawa group along with Madurese, Aceh, Balinese, Sasak, Sumbawa, and Malay languages. However, The HUGO Pan-Asian SNP Consortium in 2010 reported that the genetic relationship between Sundanese and Javanese people was closer than the one between Sundanese and Malay people. The history of both kingdoms also confirmed the close relationship between Sundanese elites in the west and Javanese elites in the central and east parts of Java. Maternal lineage analysis was done on the mtDNA D-loop region (HVRI and II) from 118 unrelated Sundanese and 33 Javanese probands. We found 12 newly-formed haplotypes (or maternal lineages) as a divergence from one maternal lineage that was characterized by a normal mutation of 186C.
