F is for F Words.

Another two weeks has flown by and we
finally have Summer, I think we missed Spring but my spring flowers are blooming beautifully, and now it's time for a NEW challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

For my F word I went with Funny Feline.

Staging has never been a strong suit of mine but I put my card on a pile of scraps to show everything on my card even the base was in my scrap/file bucket. The image is a Kaselkraft image I was gifted many moons ago, and the sentiment was also a gift from a different friend when I was at my worst low crafting mojo, hoping it would help my lack of snarky brain power.  I have "loosely" used the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch #535.

I love this sentiment from AAW Printworks it works for any occasion that is once a year, I've even used it for Christmas. More scraps were used, even the vanilla layer for the sentiment I rummaged through the scrap box to find it.

I am adding this card to:

Snippits Playground ~~ Challenge 427

Seize The Birthday ~~ Anything goes.

Thanks for joining me here today and head over to the Main Blog and see what F words the rest of the team have chosen.

Back to the Books!!

Challenge #454 at Shopping our Stash is Back to the  Books (books/reading themed or use a page from a book or text designed paper) easy peasy right? I hope you will play along.

The image is Betsy Booklover from Kraftin'Kimmie stamps not sure how long I have had it in my stash but I'm guessing well over a year, I guess I was saving it for a special occasion.  After I coloured her I fussy cut so I could make a summer scene, The clouds are from a Christmas die. I used Elisabeth Craft Designs stitche rectangles and scalloped rectangles.

Finished the inside with a Printworks sentiment stamp. Two scraps of off cuts from the blended background to add some interest.

I would like to add this to:

NBUS #30

Use Your Stuff ~~ #431 Back to School (primary colours)

Thanks for stopping by today and head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out what the rest of the bookworms have made.

It's Ombre' time at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!!

Welcome to the new challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.......O is for Ombre'. I checked out Jennifer Maguire's video on backgrounds with distress oxide inks and took a few pointers from her.  I also took a few pointers from Edna as you will see soon.

Isn't Edna fancy shmancy in her ombre' dress....thank you Lee you are a jewel.

First I stamped Filigree background stamp (long retired from Stampin'up) with versamark watermark ink and embossed it in white embossing powder. Using TH distress oxide peacock feathers I covered the background in a an ombre' fashion then taking a soft cloth cleaned off any ink that was on the white embossing.  Then added the SMILE die cut. My inspiration for my card was both the sketch and the "Mint" colour from the current Fusion challenge.

Close up of the sentiment

Well I did have to add a smidgen of snark with a sentiment from Printworks

I am entering this in:

Fusion Card Challenges ~~ Used both the sketch and the photo colours

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the rest of the Design Team's projects they are awesome and will give you the inspiration to try this awesome technique.

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #268 ~~ Anything Goes/Birthday

Welcome to another fabulous challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge!! This is my 6th blog post as Guest Designer, I have had so much fun creating with my favourite stamps. As always it's Anything goes as long as you use a house mouse, happy hopper or a gruffie on your project, there is always an option and this challenge it's "Birthday" how easy peasy is that!!!.

The stamp I used is Bug Off  I made a 5 1/2 inch square card and it's a Double Z fold I found the tutorial on        The patterned paper is from Hero Arts Kissing Booth, I love this paper pad and it's my second one as I used the other up.  Happy Birthday is from Party Panda from SU.

Close up of Muzzy in the flower. I added stickles to the grasshopper's wings and the action marks.

Cards partially open, the inside sentiment is from Printworks

The second sentiment is from Stampendous and is part of the House Mouse line.  This was a very fun and easy fold to do.

Thanks for visiting me today to see what I have made for my Guest Designer spot at House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge.  I hope you can find some time to create a project with one of the super cute critters from House Mouse Designs, there are prize too.

More House Mouse.................

I'm so excited!! I have another card for House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge, I made it for a friend's birthday and now she has received it I can show everyone.

I had a lot of fun making this 5 1/4 inch square card and using fall colours. Mustard/orange/yellows are not my go to colours but with Birthday cards I like keeping in the theme of the month.

I carried the square stitched die cuts to the inside. The sentiment is one of my new ones I bought at the Butterfly Moon in Lyndoch (Delhi) it's from Printworks and it's good for any occasion that only comes once  a year.

I am entering this in:

Thanks for checking today and have a fabulous weekend!!!

Reminder of the Lost and Found Challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

Lost and Found......well I had many ideas for techniques that I hadn't tried for a long time and it's Cracked Glass!! It had been so long I had trouble getting it to work perfect but as with all crafters  only another crafter will see the imperfections.

I did google "purple" roses and there are real purple roses so I coloured the rose purple from  with my alcohol markers. Layered ultra thick embossing powder three times then put it in the freezer for a few minutes and then cracked it although it didn't work the first time and I couldn't seem to get the glaze to stay smooth but I'm happy with the results.

Close up of the "cracks"

I just purchased a new sentiment for the inside, it's from Printworks, their website is under construction but they have a facebook page click HERE.  I have three other sentiments from them and use them all the time. I like this because it can be used for many occasions, anything that is celebrated once a year.

I would like to enter this in:
Seize the Birthday ~~ Anything Goes

My image is from Meljen’s designs, isn’t he the cutest little puppy in a pocket?  I picked out the stripped paper and then matched them with the so saffron and I think buckaroo blue (retired) buttons are from CTMH I bought 4 or 5 years ago. Happy Birthday is from Stamp’in up.
