From 1976 prehistoric archaeologist in the Bayerische Landesamt für Denkmalpflege in Bamberg, retired in 2006, from 1978 - 2005 lectures on late bronze age and early iron age in Northern Bavaria at the University of Bamberg. In March 1996 appointed Honorary Professor.
