It's almost like a crossover between a pancake, a pop over, and a souffle and it tastes just as good as it looks. To be honest, I actually think it's way easier than traditional pancakes and the butter comes together in a blender in just a few seconds. We love serving it up with roasted strawberries and maple syrup for a delicious summer breakfast treat.

Our family's new favorite breakfast casserole | breakfast | Our family's new favorite breakfast casserole #inthekitchenwithkurt #casserole #breakfast #breakfastideas | By Lanette and Kurt | Start with two hash browns there. We're going to put these hash browns right here. So four total hash browns in your sprayed pan. Now we're going to add some shredded cheese. This is a blend of Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese. Mm. And please don't be disappointed but this is not freshly shredded. Um thicker there. It is it is a thick cut. It's very nice. And this is about a little about a cup or so. A cup and a third that we're going to add. Now every breakfast casserole in my opinion needs to have meat. And we're using bacon today. If you want to use ham or sausage or or some other meat chicken, you can do that. Um but we're using bacon. And I have about eight or nine slices of thick cut bacon there. Okay now we're going to take some cheese. I have some Colby Jack cheese which I've sliced in half and it's very important that you have it sliced in half or at least create some space for our next ingredients to go down. And really I guess I'm only going to really have to do two slices. I have plenty here. I'm going to I'm going to be kind of conservative with this. So, if you have a bigger pan, you can use more cheese. Now, take your eggs. We got some eggs here. I have 4 eggs. Farm fresh, organic, you know, all that good stuff. We're going to add some half and half. Okay. To that, we're going to add about a cup of half and half and I'm just going to eye this. And I think that's about a cup in my opinion. I could be wrong and let's season that baby. We're going to add some adobo. This is Goya's an all-purpose seasoning. I love it because it has all the things that I like to use, salt, pepper, garlic, and fun other other fun stuff and just for a little bit more kick, I'm going to add some fresh cracked peppercorn and I just like how coarse it is and good. And then let's just mix it up. So just mix that baby up. Now let's set that aside for one second because I forgot an ingredient. What? I forgot to put our hash browns on again. Oh. This is almost like a hash brown sandwich. Yeah. So we're going to put your hash brown on top of that cheese. Mhm. Again this is all going to just these will crisp up beautifully. And cheese will melt. It's going to be just absolutely delicious. Now we have our our egg mixture or egg and cream mixture. Make sure your eggs are all mixed up. I saw little yellow sun in there somewhere. Make sure it's all mixed up. If you have to pulse it, you can pulse it. Looks good. I love that. Peppercorn in there. So fresh looking. Alright now we're going to take this and we're going to pour it. Make sure there's room. You want to have room for your egg to go down under. Oh dripping down the sides. Don't want it to drip over the side. Drip down the side. Drip down the side. And I'm going to pour it right on top of these hash browns. It's okay. It's okay. But I want to really just fill up this dish with this wonderful egg mixture. Beautiful. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. All we need to do is take this and pop it in the oven. 375 first. Oh hold on. What'd you forget? I forgot. Tinfoil. We want we're going to cover it for 60 minutes. And that's going to ensure that all the egg and egg bakes thoroughly inside the potatoes cook and warm thoroughly. And the cheese melts. And then we'll take that off and we'll add some more cheese and cook it uncovered. So 60 minutes to start off. Three seventy life. Alright. Pull that out of the oven. I can hear it already. Smells fantastic and we're going to take off our covering. Whoo. Look at that. Little muff a little bit of our hash. It's bubbling. Let's put that back down there. Put that back. Ooh and we're going to add just a little bit of cheese and then pop this back in the oven for you know, as as long as it takes to melt the cheese. So, just let's just say ten, 10 to 15 minutes. Alright, let's Oh, baby. Look at that. That is golden beauty. Look at that. Isn't that sizzle? Baby you might want to give that thing some time to cool off definitely but it is just these are one of the this is one of the sounds that I just absolutely love the sizzle baked dish. I'm just going to separate it from the side and it feels, look at that, the whole thing is shifting. So, that is why we spray our pans. The dishes. Yeah, I'm definitely going to give this a little while to cool off. It's cooled a little. Now, we're going to cut this baby in half and I'm going to keep this easy. I'm just going to cut it right in between our our potatoes. So these will be really healthy portions. Let's scoop this baby out. Get ready. Get ready. I'm ready. I'm ready. Ready to see us? I'm ready. Look at that. Holy cannoli Batman. Look at that. That is a perfectly layered layered breakfast. That is that is hearty. It is the hashy browniest. Yeah. So good and this this hash brown is nice and crispy. Let's add some green onion just to brighten it up. And then let's just cut into it. Yeah. Let's see. Let's see what it looks like. Alright. I I love this. Look at that. Are you sketching that? Look at that crispiness. That's what I want. So I'm going to start in the back. Okay. Don't burn yourself. Look at that. That's an enormous piece. I know. Well, I have an enormous mouth. Bacon, eggs, cheese, potatoes, this I'm so excited. Ready? Mhm. That was hot. You might want to cut it in half again. The fork burned my tongue. Really? Yeah. I'm going to try it again. Oh really? Yes. I have not learned my lesson. Potatoes cook perfectly. The bacon is nice and smoky and crunchy and cheesiness. This is just a solid a solid breakfast.

It’s like a savory bread pudding but in the best, light, possible way. It’s so easy and, if you have a house full of people in and out around this time of year, it’s a great “assemble the night before and bake the morning of” thing to throw together. Add some yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and mimosas and you have a great Holiday breakfast on your hands. Also great as a lunch with a green salad and sautéed peas along side too! Very versatile, very delicious. I used about a dozen small croissants and a total of 1/2lb of ham and about half that of cheese (or you could add more) the custard was just 10 eggs, 2 cups of milk and a a tad bit of Dijon mustard along with a little S&P and a couple sprigs of fresh thyme. Assembled it, covered and refrigerated it for about 6 hours before baking at 350 for an hour. Hope you make it! | Laura in the Kitchen

It adds a lightness to... | By Rose Reisman | So this cake is just heavenly and lighter than any coffee cake I've ever made. Okay so the combination of lemon and blueberry is just made in made in heaven. And I've done a lot of lemon blueberry muffins desserts. But this one's a little different. This is lemon and blueberries but it's also made with some almond flour and all purpose flour. And the reason I use some almond flour is because it gives a lightness. It a really incredible almost flaky moisture texture to the cake than if I use all purpose. So if you're going to do that you would do is a 4toone ratio. Four parts all purpose one one part almond flour. And you don't even notice the almond flour in there. But you'll end up finding that it's just moisture and tastier than most coffee cakes. So give this a shot. Let me know if you use almond flour in your baking.

So I just have some premade butter croissants that I'm cutting up into my thirteen by nine dish. We are making a delicious and easy breakfast. Okay. Perfect. Just make sure it's kind of evenly distributed. I love this recipe because it's super easy and you just use your premade stuff. Now I'm going to grab some little smokies because this is going to be a yummy smoky breakfast. I'm going to use this whole 14 ounce package of little smokies and put them right on top of those croissants. Perfect. Just make sure that they're kind of distributed evenly again. This is going to be so good. Alright. Now, I have about six eggs that I whipped up and scrambled that I'm going to drizzle on top of this whole breakfast. You can use more eggs but we're adding a lot into this. So, six eggs just seems to be perfect. Okay. I'm going to go ahead and grab some onion powder. You can season this to your liking but I just love the onion powder with that smokey flavor. It's so delicious. I'm going to grab some pepper. Put that right on top. Such a quick breakfast. We're already almost done. And then of course I'm going to grab some cheddar cheese. I'm doing the medium cheddar Tillamuk because I love the thick cut. Ooh cheddar cheese. Extra cheese please. Yeah. Okay. It's perfect. Alright. We're almost done. Here. I'm going to go ahead and grab some milk. I'm just using whole milk but you can use whatever your milk preference is and we're going to use about two cups of this milk. I'm just going to eyeball it though. You've been doing this so long you know what two cups is eyeballed. Yeah. I mean I know this recipe like the back of my hand. I make it all the time. Mm. Perfect. I never really look at the back of my hand. Alright. Now, this is going to sound a little weird but we're actually going to add some dijon mustard. It just compliments those little smokies so nicely. You're not going to want to skip this step. We're just going to do a nice drizzle just like this. Okay. You showing mustard. It adds like that king. Yeah. That's what you're missing. So good. Trust me. Awesome. Okay. You barely even taste it. It just adds the nice little seasoning and flavor to it. Now I'm going to go ahead and just mix this all together. Get all the seasoning and all the mustard and the eggs and the milk all blended so perfectly. Get those croissants just fully covered. Yeah you want the croissants to absorb all the liquid. Absorb all those flavors. Yes. Exactly. The little smokies will cook into the croissants too. Sorry to interrupt you. It just makes it so good. Okay. We're almost done. Just give it a nice little like fold into it. Good. Alright and then even it out again so that your thirteen by nine is fully it smells good and it's not even like cooked yet. So good. Alright and that is it. Awesome. Such an easy and delicious breakfast. Let's go and look at that bottom real quick. Ooh see the egg, Chanel, this pepper. Alright, so my oven is set to three fifty. We're cooking it for 45 minutes. Okay. Um That looks good. So toasty and delicious. Okay, I need a piece of this right now. Oh. Oh yeah. So cheesy. Cheesy and the eggs are nice and soft. Yeah because we added all that milk in there. Oh yeah. Look at that. Phenomenal. Looks like a quiche or a frittata. Mm mm mm. You need to try this right now. Oh the eggs are so fluffy from the milk. Looks so good. Okay. Okay. Quite hot. Yeah it's hot but it's going to be so good. Smells delicious. Is it good? Mm. So good.
