Selvage

So Selvage Denim, you probably came across this term in fashion or among denim fans. But what is it exactly? Is it an all new thing? And why is everyone craving for it? Basically Selvage (or Selvedge) Denim is the classic Denim fabric - nothing new! Before the 1950s most fabrics were made on shuttle looms. These old-fashioned looms produce much higher quality fabric. Because the woven strips are much tighter, more yarn is used and the result is much more durable and stronger fabric.
