Instead use one of these old make up artist tricks! BUT BE GENTLE!

Let the mascara dry for a few seconds then either roll a dry, clean q tip over the mascara to pick up the clumps or ... and this is what i do, use a clean spoolie and ever so gently scratch the mascara off.

This causes minimal damage to your make up. BUT BE GENTLE ! Do not rub or tug the delicate eye area! Works everytime!
