If you have ever been to the Bavarian inn in Frankenmuth MI this what they use on top of their hot buttered noodles (crushed Ritz buttery crackers). I can taste them just writing this. Yum Yum. I use Maggi brand chicken bullion cubes in the box of eight. You can usually find them in the Mexican section of your super market. They are extra large, really soft and dissolve easily. Do not add salt to this recipe, the bullion is loaded with it and most people use salted butter so you should be cov...

City Chicken....I thought FOR SURE no one but MY family made this!! :) my grocery store did not have veal or pork shoulder so I used beef stew meat and boneless pork chops. The skewer, season, flour, egg, bread part took about 1/2 an hour so plan accordingly. Over season! I thought I had plenty and everyone still added salt.

German-Style Pot Roast (Sauerbraten) - my introduction to this wonderful roast was at the dinner table of a friend in high school. She and her family had come to the U.S. from Germany when my friend was five. I learned many wonderful home-style German dishes from her mother and her aunt. It's a shame German cooking is not better known and served here. It is a rich, hearty food that always leaves one feeling satisfied.
