Unicorn Rainbow Lollipop Party

This is my daughter's 7th birthday party. It was a unicorn lollipop theme done in rainbow colors. Our parties are filled with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents so they're family parties and not friend parties. We catered from Chipotle and everyone loved it. We served ice cream cake and cupcakes and had a rainbow filled treat table. We played pin the horn on the unicorn, had a water balloon battle in the back yard and had silly string madness. Hope you like it! We sure did!

Unicorn cut-out hanging above rainbow fringe. The fringe hung across the entire bay window. I made the fringe with a pack of rainbow colored tissue paper. I cut all of the sheets in half lengthwise. I made stacks that had one sheet of each color. Then I folded each stack over a section of string meant to span the window. I stapled the tissue paper across the top and then repeated this. Then I cut the tissue into shreds and scrunched it with my hands (a lot). I love it!

How To Tie Ribbon
Rainbow unicorn party! I took the wrappers off of the lollipops (Oriental Trading), tied a ribbon to the stick and reinforced it with clear packing tape. I alternated lollipop and pom pom along the entry way to the dining room. Love it!

Colors Of The Rainbow
Rainbow unicorn party! I bought tissue paper strips from Oriental Trading. I stacked the colors of the rainbow twice and tied it with a ribbon. Then I cut the strips in thirds so they'd be thinner. Finally I scrunched them into a ball, shook it out and voila! Rainbow pom poms that I hung all over the place.

Rainbow unicorn party! Cousins from age 7-17 had fun pinning the horn on the unicorn. I think it was from Birthday Direct.

Rainbow unicorn party! This candle was an awesome spectacle that I bought on ebay. It starts out as a plastic flower that is closed. You light the large wick in the middle. Then sparks fly and all of the other candles become lit. The flower opens, spins around and plays the Happy Birthday tune. Exceeded my expectations and everyone loved it! The photo doesn't do it justice. Bought from eBay but also now see it available at our local Jewel.
