Tourism directly or indirectly generates and supports 195 million jobs globally. This is equivalent to 7.6% of the world workforce and is forecasted to rise to over 250 million jobs in 2010 (Cooper et al., 2005). According to WTO and WTTC about 11% of world gross domestic product is generated by the E-tourism sector which accounts for more than 200 million people of the world employed workforce. A good definition which captures the essence of tourism has been quoted by Bradgett (2000). It states that "tourism comprises the activities of person traveling and staying places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes." In the last decade the use of information and communication technology (ICT) has boomed in many sectors, such as business education, commerce etc, all over the world. AB ST RA CT: This paper provides a Fuzzy based decision support system (DSS) for risk analysis in E-tourism (Electronic Tourism) investment. In general term, E-tourism is the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in tourism which may allow operating tourism in least variable cost, least time and increased work efficiency. It is worth noting that there are many factors that affect the development of E-tourism. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the system, four factors of investment, human IT skill, E-tourism infrastructure and stability of the regions are considered in the present study. These parameters are fuzzified and a fuzzy rule-base has been developed for calculating risk factor for the E-tourism investment. The researchers used MATLAB software for fuzzifying the factors and gain the final risk. Case studies have been presented using the developed model. It shows that the investment possibility in developed region is high with low risk to invest.

Different transformation approaches including normalization, Zscore and Box-Cox methods are applied and various input selection methods including forward selection, backward selection, stepwise regression and principle component analysis are used to see how the combination of these preprocessing techniques will influence the performance of different parametric (ARIMA, ARIMAX, MLR) and non-parametric (NAR, NARX, SVR, ANFIS) predictors. The data has been collected from the daily load demand of Ottawa, Canada. It has been observed that the Box-Cox transformation significantly improved the performance of all predictors and the findings have demonstrated the superior role of exogenous variables in accuracy improvement of all predictors. In terms of MAPE, the value of 2.27% for ARIMA model improved to 1.75% with ARIMAX using temperature, and it decreased from 1.46% to 1.334% by means of NARX model using normalized PCA which is applied to normalized data. In an overall view, the non-parametric algorithms have had a considerable gain over parametric models and NARX network has the highest accuracy among all of the predictors.

It is therefore important for a company to evaluate the performance of its existing suppliers. However, the problem of supplier evaluation is rather complex when a group of decision makers responsible for these suppliers are geographically dispersed. Evaluating decisions requiring the elicitation of vague and imprecise linguistic information expressed in fuzzy terms. For this purpose, a hybrid fuzzy group decision-making approach for supplier evaluation is proposed, integrating the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (F-AHP) and the fuzzy preference-ranking-organization-method-for-enrichment-ofevaluation (PROMETHEE) group decision support system (F-PROMETHEE GDSS) method. F-AHP is used to determine the weight of multiple criteria while F-PROMETHEE GDSS is applied for the final ranking of suppliers from a group decision viewpoint. The approach advances the supplier evaluation context in two aspects. First, it treats each decision maker uniquely in terms of the preference function and threshold levels. Second, it provides rapid communication between teams through video conferencing. The hybrid approach is used to evaluate the suppliers of a dairy company.

The participants were an insurance company underwriting the policies of oil and gas refineries located in a major oil producing nation. The Chemical Process Quantitative Risk Analysis methodology was applied as a framework to implement uncertainty quantification and risk analysis using a specialized commercial DSS software product. A gas vapor explosion was simulated at an oil refinery, to predict the fire and radiation damage. Costs and risks were entered into the model based on historical data. Loss estimates were generated for equipment and buildings located various distances (pressures) from the explosion origin. Overall, the DSS model predicted an expected loss of over $14,000,000 USD for equipment located in the 50 meter explosion radius, which represented a loss ratio of almost 52%. The losses predicted from the DSS model were comparable to the literature and to experiences of the case study company. The margin of error from the DSS model was less than ±5% which made it very reliable according to benchmarks.

The term also applies to the use of computer networks to search and retrieve information in support of human and corporate decision making'' (Kalakota and Whinston, 1996). It has been adopted widely in most enterprises. Although EC offers various business opportunities, EC development is plagued by various kinds of risk and risk management is necessary to avoid these problems. Indeed, a task that is critical to the proper management of EC development is the assessment of risk. An important step in advancing our knowledge requires that we understand and address these risks. According to Leung et al. (1998), most project managers worry about the time involved in risk management when it comes to identifying and assessing risks. However, with the aid of computers ABS TRAC T: This paper describes the development of a fuzzy decision support system (FDSS) for the assessment of risk in E-commerce (EC) development. A Web-based prototype FDSS is suggested to assist EC project managers in identifying potential EC risk factors and the corresponding project risks. A risk analysis model for EC development using a fuzzy set approach is proposed and incorporated into the FDSS. For running the fuzzy set approach, the researchers use MATLAB software. The research methodology includes these stages: At first, identifying the factors effect on the development of the E-commerce with the help of experts; secondly, defining the suitable membership function for each factor. There are three layers in the fuzzy system that every layer's output is input for next layer. Then, the system calculates the final risk through SUGENO inference engine for E-commerce. Indeed the suggested architecture for the model with the help of experts is presented in this paper.

Geographical characteristics are one of the most effective factors in load consumption patterns, the performance of the algorithms, and the accuracy of predictions. Therefore, developing a general framework in which meteorological characteristics determine the best predictor can be of importance. Meta-learning models, which are less considered in this area, propose a framework for algorithm selection by using a set of metafeatures. In this paper, a meta-learning system is developed using exogenous weather variables as meta-features. The proposed system selects the best predictor among a pool of candidate forecasting algorithms including ARIMA, ARIMAX, MLR, NAR, NARX, and SVR. In statistical approaches, the volatility of the mean and variance of the load demand is modeled by GARCH process. The selection process uses a set of metafeatures built on temperature and dew point. The empirical tests were performed on 30 samples of daily load demand taken from ten various geographical zones in Ontario, Canada. The achievements reveal that the characteristics of weather meta-features such as range of variation, skewness, and kurtosis play an important role in assigning the most suitable predictor to each sample set and both groups of statistical and artificial intelligence-based predictors were selected in different sample sets.

To reach this purpose, information technology has acted as an enabler in different parts of the supply chain and companies. Although there is a wide range of researches investigating the role of IT on supply chain performance (SCP), the literature review has had many gaps. The contribution of this work in comparison with previous models is the impact of studies simultaneously: 1) IT integration; 2) agility and integration on the performance which has not studied until now. This study proposed a new conceptual model to analyse the direct and indirect effect of these items on each other. In addition, a discussion about integrity and agility of the supply chain is a new issue in the Iranian market.

We tested our proposed model on customer data from a mobile phone operator to evaluate the effect of each element on the customer's lifetime value. Four hundred and twenty questionnaires were distributed and 400 questionnaires were determined to be suitable for our study. We employed structural equation modeling using Smart-PLS software and we have found that the innovation, customer's churn, willingness to refer, and cooperation elements have the strongest effect on the customer's lifetime value.
