The concepts of curricular activities, extracurricular activities and peace building are discussed. It analyzes the current primary school curriculum and the goals of primary education in Nigeria. It exposes the structures of conflict and violence and how curricular activities in primary schools and the dearth of extra-curricular activities in primary schools in Nigeria aid conflict and violence. A road map to revamping extra-curricular activities is drawn up and recommendations are made to make the primary curriculum more relevant to the current needs of the society are proposed. Some of the recommendations include compulsory general religious knowledge for all pupils rather than pupils studying only their own religion, practical cultural studies, removal of the teaching of three major ethnic groups in Nigeria to a more general and more all encompassing concept and exchange programmes across various states amongst others.

" A deductive analysis of the actual list of war crimes found in various treaties and other international instruments as well as in national legislation shows that violations are in practice treated as serious and therefore as war crimes, if they endanger protected persons or objects … " (ICRC, Customary IHL database, 2016). The event described by Nnaemeka in Blood at Noon definitely shows the endangerment of protected people in a rural market and hospital. The book is arranged in six chapters. All interwoven to the major theme of; the injustice of the bombing of a " safe haven " or " protected persons " by the Nigerian troops during the civil war. The Geneva Convention, Article 51 (1945) states that " any civilian enjoys general protection against dangers arising from military operations and forbids direct attacks them as well as so-called indiscriminate attacks, which do not distinguish between civilians and combatants. The study was set to find out the provision of physical facilities in Secondary Schools in Kaduna Metropolis and investigate the maintenance of infrastructural facilities in Secondary Schools in Kaduna Metropolis. Two research questions and two null hypotheses were formulated in line with the objectives to guide the study. The descriptive survey research design was used in the study. The target population of the study comprised 20 Ministry of Education Officials, 37 Principals and 1427 Teachers in Secondary Schools in Kaduna Metropolis. A sample size of 20 Ministry of Education Officials, 10 principals and 200 teachers from 10 schools in Kaduna North Education Zone were randomly selected for the study. Their responses were gathered using the questionnaire tagged stakeholders perception on the provision and maintenance of school plants (QPSPMSP). The instrument was pilot tested and a reliability coefficient of 0.82 was obtained. The data collected was analysed using frequency tables and simple percentages while the hypotheses was tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at 0.05 level of significance. The results indicated that school plants were inadequately provided and where they were provided they were not maintained. Some of the recommendations are that school administrators and government urgently need to upgrade school plants to meet up with modern demands of secondary school education. Digital facilities should be provided in schools and regular school inspection and good maintenance programme are recommended to protect the existing school plant.
